PNNL Fortran Library (FLIB)

Revision History

Revisions to the PNNL Fortran Library are tracked using an alphanumeric version control number (VCN) and revision date. Each time a new release of the FLIB software package is prepared, the VCN is incremented. Small changes in the VCN indicate minor changes, additions or bug fixes to the source code (e.g., the VCN goes from 2.00 to 2.01); these updates are generally backwards compatible. Larger changes in the VCN indicate a relatively large additions or changes in the FLIB source code base; these changes may or may not be completely backwards compatible with earlier versions of the FLIB software.

Miscellaneous changes to documentation
Implemented new (more reliable) algorithm to identify keywords in the FIO_LOCVAR(io,opt,var, nlp,str,iflg) routine.
BUG FIX: Small correction to the VI_GETVAR(io,opt,var, ndat,iflg) so that the routine properly handle end-of-file condition when reading data for VAR.
Minor changes/corrections to the following STRPAK routines: FMT_D4RN, LENTRIM, STR_GETR8N
Minor changes/corrections to the following FIOPAK routines: VI_ALLOC

Changes to Core FLIB Routines

All subroutine arguments are explicitly declared using the Fortran 90 INTENT directive to improve compiler diagnostics and code portability.
INTERFACE definition to routine RP_UNI incorrectly defined the RP_U8N function as a single precision function instead of a double precision function.

Additions or Deletions to Core FLIB Routines

Added the EP_Blank, EP_AddTxt, EP_AddArr, EP_AddNum, EP_EndErr, and EP_NewErr routines to ErrPak.
Added the PP_BLANK, PP_GETMAR, PP_PRNSTR, PP_SETMAR, PP_SETU4E, PP_SETU4O, and PP_TextWrap routines to PrnPak.

Other Changes to the FLIB Distribution

BUG FIX in the AutoHtml_AddLinks(u4i,u4o, iflg) routine of the AutoHTML utility code. Utility correctly copies header (META) information from an existing HTML file to the new HTML file generated by the AutoHTML utility.
Corrected errata in the documentation for the SP_CATNUM StrPak routine.

Errata and Other Unresolved Issues

Possible *bug* in the MS Fortran PowerStation 4.0 compiler. PrnPak and ErrPak routines do not always print the 1st character in a string.

Version 2.00R 02-Jun-1999

Initial version of the Fortran 90 version of the PNNL Fortran Library.

Errata and Other Known Issues

HTML documentation for the SP_CATNUM routine incorrectly points to the SP_CATSTR routine.
The AutoHtml_AddLinks(u4i,u4o, iflg) routine of the AutoHTML utility code does not copy header (META) information from an existing HTML file to the new HTML file generated by the AutoHTML utility.

User Requested Modifications

Declare all subroutine and program arguments using the INTENT directive to improve compiler diagnostics and code portability.
